Angel Food Ministry is designed to provide quality food at a low price to anyone that might benefit from such an opportunity. Whether you are struggling nutritionally and/or financially, or you know someone that is, Angel Food Ministry is there to help give you “a hand up” in meeting such needs. Here (below) is a SAMPLE of the monthly Menu.

1.5 lb. Ribeye Steaks (4 x 6 oz.) 3 lb. Split Chicken Breast 1.5 lb. Country Fried Steak Patties (6 x 4 oz) 1 lb. Package 80/20 Ground Beef 1 lb. Fully Cooked Meatballs 1 lb. Mild Italian Sausage 12 oz. Deli Sliced Ham 1 lb. California Blend 1 lb. Green Beans 20 oz. Shoestring Fries 1 lb. Pasta 28 oz. Marinara Sauce 21 oz. Condensed Soup (makes 5 servings) 1 lb. Pinto Beans 32 oz. 2% Shelf Stable Milk Dozen Eggs Dessert The items change each month. This is a SAMPLE ONLY (it is the MARCH, 2009 REGULAR selection).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

For $30.00 (all taxes included), you can order a DISCOUNT food box designed to feed a family of four for a week. The food is not second-hand or out-of-date. It is excellent quality food from name brand and well-known suppliers; and it would cost $55-$80 of more (plus state and local taxes) if purchased in your local grocery store. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit organization located in Monroe, Georgia, orders, and distributes this food in bulk to host sites (such as Maplewood Church of Christ) in 38 states across the U.S. Each host site distributes this bulk food to local churches (such as, Maplewood Church of Christ), outreach ministries and non-profit organizations, which then distribute these items as food boxes for individual orders. Special food arrangements and volunteer help keep costs low.

ANYONE CAN PURCHASE AN ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES FOOD BOX!

There are no special qualifications, and no limits on the number of food boxes that you can purchase. You can purchase a food box for yourself, for a friend, for a group, for a family you know in need. This ministry is simply here to help with financial and nutritional needs. With rising prices on virtually everything, and financial distress now virtually worldwide; help us by telling your families, friends, neighbors and co-workers about this opportunity. We now accept  EBT  (Food Stamps) on Monday & Thursday mornings between 10:00AM and 12:00 noon ONLY.  This is an EBT requirement that to participate, you must come to the church office to use your EBT cards.

Our ministry’s main “mission” is SERVICE & OUTREACH through addressing financial and nutritional needs of the Sulphur and surrounding communities. We also want you to know that Maplewood Church of Christ is a church body that cares, that we are led by Jesus Christ and his example; and that we can, through Christ, be a source of healing lives physically, emotionally, financially and most of all spiritually.
