During the twenty five years, or so, that I owned my own dealerships; when a price was posted or quoted, and I had different sources to buy a particular product from (that I did not already have in stock); any changes in price (cost) were never something my clients (customers) would ever know about. If the cost went down, I would normally just lower the selling price. Cost increases were absorbed by me. However, now, I am not the owner/dealer, and today business models have changed in the electronic age. The electronic catalogs and computers automatically research inventory availabilities from various warehouses around the country, and determine the current costs when they "publish" a price. These prices are constantly monitored and corrected; UP and DOWN. These products that are selected to tell you about, and the prices shown, may actually vary slightly from the time when they are posted and when you might view the electronic catalog. So I wanted you to "be aware" if that small difference occurs, you will know that it is not something bad. |
